Job Description:
As a Senior Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and systems.
  • Monitoring system performance and performing upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
  • Troubleshooting complex system, network, and application issues.
  • Managing user access, permissions, and security policies.
  • Automating routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Collaborating with DevOps, network, and security teams to optimize infrastructure.
  • Implementing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Maintaining system documentation and procedures.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Strong experience with major Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent.
  • Experience in high-availability and mission-critical environments.
