The company is seeking a Senior Linux & OpenShift Application Support Engineer to join their team. The candidate will play a key role in supporting Linux and OpenShift environments, ensuring high availability and performance across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 support for Linux, OpenShift, and middleware platforms.
- Monitor infrastructure and application health, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
- Support application deployment activities and production releases.
- Coordinate with Development, Network, Security, Database, and Infrastructure teams.
- Manage platform upgrades, patches, certificates, and security compliance activities.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10-12 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on OpenShift administration experience.
- Strong Linux system administration experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise middleware and API platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Red Hat OpenShift Administrator (EX280)
- Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- ITIL Foundation
- WSO2 Certifications (Preferred)
Languages Required:
- English proficiency is preferred.
