Senior Linux & OpenShift Application Support Engineer

About the Job:

The company is seeking a Senior Linux & OpenShift Application Support Engineer to join their team. The candidate will play a key role in supporting Linux and OpenShift environments, ensuring high availability and performance across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for Linux, OpenShift, and middleware platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure and application health, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed timelines.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Support application deployment activities and production releases.
• Coordinate with Development, Network, Security, Database, and Infrastructure teams.
• Manage platform upgrades, patches, certificates, and security compliance activities.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10-12 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on OpenShift administration experience.
• Strong Linux system administration experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise middleware and API platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Red Hat OpenShift Administrator (EX280)
• Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• ITIL Foundation
• WSO2 Certifications (Preferred)

Languages Required:

• English proficiency is preferred.
