About the Role
A multinational free zone manufacturer of machinery is seeking a Senior Machine Control and Machine Guidance Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and supporting machine control and guidance systems on-site. You will also lead a site team comprising engineers, technicians, operators, and surveyors. Experience in GNSS/RTK, laser guidance, machine sensors, and 3D design data, along with prior involvement in GCC infrastructure, port, airport, or oil & gas projects, is important for this position. While GCAA drone pilot certification and drone survey experience are preferred, they are not mandatory.

Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and support machine control and guidance systems (Komatsu iMC, Trimble, Topcon, Leica) on excavators, dozers, and graders.
- Set up GNSS base/rover systems and site localization; load 3D design data and verify its accuracy.
- Troubleshoot hardware, sensor, and software issues; coordinate repairs and parts as necessary.
- Train customer operators, survey teams, distributors, and internal staff.
- Lead and mentor the field survey team, setting priorities and allocating resources effectively.
- Own standard procedures for installation, calibration, drone operation, and safety, driving service improvements.
- Act as the technical lead for key customers and support sales with demonstrations and site trials.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills, taking ownership and making confident decisions on-site.
- Ability to train patiently and explain technology clearly to operators and engineers.
- Customer-focused with a keen eye on safety, records, and data accuracy.
- Comfortable working outdoors and independently, with a willingness to travel across the UAE/GCC.
- Proficient in machine control software and MS Office; familiarity with survey software (DJI Terra, Pix4D, Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D) is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, or Geomatics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Certification in automation, surveying, or drone operations is an advantage.
