What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Conduct experiments (simple causal inference or AB tests) to evaluate model performance and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrate a data product mindset, aligning solutions with business objectives and contributing to the development of data-driven products.
- Independently handle complex projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver solutions meeting business needs.
- Simplify model details for business owners, effectively communicating the value and impact of machine learning models on business outcomes.
- Work closely with business and product counterparts at every stage of model development, ensuring alignment with goals and incorporating feedback.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into production systems.
- Implement scalable and efficient machine learning solutions, considering performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to documentation of models, algorithms, and best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.
- Bring experience from product-based companies to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of machine learning solutions.
- Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML and contribute to the development of organizational standards by bringing in industry best practices.
What Are We Looking For
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on end-to-end development and deployment in a production environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform).
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and experience with big data technologies.
- Demonstrated the ability to mentor a team of machine learning professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, handling large projects, defining roadmaps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and innovation, leveraging industry best practices and the latest technologies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment, adapting to rapidly changing requirements.
- Deep familiarity with relevant technologies is a plus.
- Passion for problem-solving, creativity, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and backgrounds.
