Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
As a UAS Maintenance professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the serviceability and availability of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Your primary responsibilities involve supervising maintenance work performed by various teams, ensuring adherence to strict specifications in the Work Orders, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will be expected to monitor and manage various aspects of UAS maintenance, from documentation to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise UAS maintenance work:

  • Ensure that maintenance tasks are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently according to specified Work Orders.
  • Meet planned requirements for UAS serviceability and availability while reducing the risk of damage or injury to personnel.

• UAS Maintenance Documentation Administration:

  • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all maintenance documentation, including manuals, log cards, and log books, in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Ensure that maintenance documents and forms are accurately completed by Maintenance Technicians after performing maintenance work, providing reliable input for maintenance tracking and planning.

• UAS Maintenance Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that maintenance activities conducted by Technicians uphold high-quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order within maintenance facilities to meet defined quality standards and ensure personnel and equipment safety.

• Maintenance Status Reporting:

  • Provide relevant AV maintenance information to the Senior Line Maintenance Officer or Maintenance Planner on a daily basis or as requested.
  • Ensure that all inputs for maintenance planning and coordination are current and up to date.

• Support Flight Operation Activities:

  • Assist with Field Operations and Test/Training Flight activities as required.
  • Ensure that UAS are in a "Safe to Fly" state prior to takeoff and are configured according to Flight Team requests.
  • Identify and report any encountered UAS faults to enable immediate corrective action before the next flight.

Contract and Travel Details

• This position may include occasional travel based on operational requirements.
