About the Role:
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position for a Senior Management Accountant in Abu Dhabi, expected to ideally start in December/January. In this role, you will lead financial activities, ensuring the month-end closing is conducted efficiently while preparing critical financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow Statement. Your responsibilities will include monitoring reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and serving as the team leader for year-end statutory and internal audits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow Statement by capturing all transactions related to assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.
- Monitor and ensure all reconciliations, including banks, related party, debtors, and creditors, and upload requisite financial information to the accounting software.
- Control and monitor the debt collection process and assess ageing status by collaborating with the AR and BD teams.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage fixed assets and ensure that the fixed asset register is regularly updated.
- Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Lead the team during year-end statutory and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Review month-end journals for accruals, pre-payments, and other provisions in Auto Count.
- Prepare Management Information Packs for monthly management reporting, adhering to deadlines.
- Conduct profitability analysis of product lines.
- Ensure healthy cash flows and maintain adequate liquidity while leading credit control and collections.
- Assist the Regional Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Continuously review and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support decision making by analysing relevant financial information and preparing monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and prepare relevant reports in both local currencies and GBP as needed.
- Undertake other duties as requested by management.
Requirements of the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance; Qualified/Partly Qualified ACCA/CIMA preferred.
- Experience in handling inter-company and international group accounts and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing workload and prioritizing effectively.
- Knowledge or experience with Auto Count, multicurrency, and project accounting is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially strong spreadsheet skills.
