You will manage and support the Project Contracts, Procurement, and materials personnel in executing work to align with the objectives of the Project Execution Strategy, Project Plan, and Project Procurement and Materials Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors, and engagement activities.
  • Comply with company policies and objectives, Contracts, and Procurement work processes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve Contracting issues during the EPC / FEED phase of the Contract.
  • Review EPC / FEED Contract Baseline and requirements.
  • Review and comment on the division of responsibilities and Key EPC / FEED Contract management documents.
  • Review EPC / FEED Contract management procedures.
  • Arrange kick-off meetings to instruct the EPC / FEED Contractor on procedures for Contract Administration.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements set out in the EPC / FEED Contract.
  • Monitor potential incidents of loss/damage likely to lead to insurance claims, and correlate documentation for claims.
  • Ensure EPC / FEED Contractor provides and maintains correct Performance/Bank Guarantees.
  • Determine any additional administrative procedural requirements.
  • Balance Owner relationship and EPC / FEED Contract management requirements, soliciting legal advice when required.
  • Review the Project records management system for effectiveness.
  • Check and evaluate EPC / FEED Contract Changes; including Project Variance Notices, Requests for Change, Change Orders, Amendments, etc.
  • Ensure comprehensive implementation of EPC / FEED Contract Close-out procedures; including Final Account and Closure Certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with warranty requirements by the EPC / FEED Contractor.
  • Administer the EPC / FEED Contract to ensure the terms and conditions are fulfilled, managing change by controlling scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Manage Project risks and minimize Owner’s exposure to financial and legal liabilities.
  • Review EPC / FEED Contractor reports for concerns and potential claims, delays, etc.
  • Attend weekly EPC / FEED Contract Administration meetings.
  • Prepare and issue the Subcontract Administration Monthly Report for each Subcontract (SAMR) on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and issue the EPC / FEED Contract Administration Monthly Report to the Owner.
  • Verify the adequacy of the Project records management system, ensuring it is leveraged for a chronological record of the Project execution.
  • In conjunction with PMC Project Manager, review, evaluate and prepare recommendations regarding EPC / FEED Contractor claims for delay, back charges, prolongation, etc.
  • Ensure documents of commercial sensitivity are secured and observe a "CLEAN DESK" policy at the end of each working day.
  • Perform Construction Site Contract Administration for the EPC / FEED Contract including setup of electronic files, managing correspondence, processing monthly Payment Certificates and Invoices, and managing the completion process.
  • Monitor EPC / FEED Contract Close-out.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4 years bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the GCC.
  • Relevant experience in FEED & EPC.
  • Experience in PMC roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position for international Oil and Gas projects.
  • ADNOC experience is preferable.
