Position

The Senior Manager - Corporate Risk Analytics plays a critical role within Group Risk Management, directly impacting the company's compliance with regulatory mandates on model management. The role involves developing and maintaining credit risk and profitability models while performing advanced analytics on the portfolio. The incumbent is expected to independently carry out projects and offer strategic advice to the head of the team on emerging trends. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing non-retail credit rating models and ensuring their integration into company systems.
  • Conducting regular calibration and optimization of models according to regulatory guidance.
  • Performing monthly ECL (Expected Credit Loss) calculations and developing forecasting models for budgeting purposes.
  • Supporting ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process) and Macro Stress Testing for non-retail portfolios.
  • Liaising with validation and compliance teams to ensure models meet necessary requirements and recommendations.
  • Reviewing models based on changing market conditions and best practices.
  • Maintaining a historical datamart for non-retail products to streamline model development.
  • Leading training programs for team members and stakeholders on quantitative analytics.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 7-12 years of experience in credit risk modeling and Basel II and IFRS 9 implementation within the banking sector.
  • Master’s degree in quantitative studies, finance, engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are highly desired.
  • Excellent credit risk modeling, analytical, and research skills.
  • Experience with large datasets, including alternative data for credit models.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, credit risk management practices, and regulatory frameworks (Basel II, Basel III, IFRS 9).
  • Proficient in statistical software (SAS, R, or Python).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
