- Translate credit assessment practices into product requirements that include business and financial risk, repayment capacity, facility purpose and structure, collateral, policy checks, and approval rationale.
- Create reference workflows, annotated credit papers, question libraries, and worked examples to aid product and technical teams in understanding banking requirements.
- Advise the Product Manager on valuable use cases, workflow gaps, and domain dependencies while contributing to prioritizing capabilities that address recurring bank needs and can be reused across customers.
- Define configurable components such as templates, risk-rating inputs, financial definitions, policy thresholds, and approval steps for different banks, borrower segments, and lending products.
- Collaborate with Design, Science, and Engineering teams on prototypes, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Validate that features align with actual workflows used by bank teams.
- Specify the necessary evidence and data to be retrieved, facilitating queries and defining output structures, including requirements for financial spreading, credit memo preparation, covenant review, and monitoring alerts.
- Shape review, correction, and escalation flows, ensuring clear distinctions between source facts, calculations, assumptions, and AI interpretation.
- Develop representative test cases, reference answers, and evaluation rubrics with the Science team to assess credit reasoning, numerical accuracy, evidence completeness, and usefulness, incorporating considerations for missing information, conflicting sources, and policy exceptions.
- Diagnose domain errors, document expected behavior, establish quality thresholds, and verify fixes and regressions prior to release.
- Translate bank governance requirements into product behavior, focusing on permissions, confidentiality, traceable sources, calculation reproducibility, audit history, and human approval in collaboration with security, legal, and risk teams.
- Lead domain discovery initiatives with bank users and design partners, testing assumptions about credit processes and differentiating common requirements from institution-specific preferences.
- Design realistic pilot scenarios, evaluating workflow fit, analytical quality, time savings, review effort, and user adoption, translating findings into actionable product feedback.
- Support demos, proposals, and customer workshops with credible banking expertise.
- Maintain reusable domain guidance, workflow examples, and product feedback for internal teams, bringing recurring customer questions and market developments into roadmap discussions with the Product Manager.
What We're Looking For

- Knowledge of credit policies, risk ratings, credit papers, approval authorities, exceptions, renewals, and monitoring, along with the ability to explain variations across institutions and customer segments.
- Proven ability to translate specialist knowledge into requirements, process improvements, or reusable guidance, with clarity on both credit rationale and its implications for the product.
- Critical reviewing skills for financial models and credit analyses, identifying misleading assumptions or unsupported conclusions, and generating clear examples and quality criteria for technical teams.
- Comfort working iteratively with prototypes and AI-assisted tools, understanding how retrieval systems, citations, evaluations, and human review may affect AI product reliability.
