About the Job:
The Senior Manager - Cyber Security Architect is accountable for establishing and governing the enterprise cybersecurity architecture at DP World. This role involves setting the target architecture, standards, and roadmap, evaluating emerging security technologies, and assisting in major incident response. The architecture team, under this leadership, conducts threat modeling, design reviews, risk assessments, maintains architecture artifacts, embeds security in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management processes, and handles routine system access and authorization requests. This role ensures secure systems, stronger resilience, and reduced risk, aligning all activities with recognized frameworks (ISO 27001, SANS/CIS Controls, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK) and regulatory requirements (Dubai ISR, Dubai Data Privacy Law) to strengthen resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the target security architecture and roadmap aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Enforce design principles (e.g., secure by design, zero trust, least privilege) and evaluate high-risk or exception designs.
  • Direct quality assurance for threat modeling, solution design reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of reference architectures and threat models.
  • Embed security requirements across the Software Development Life Cycle for consistent secure delivery.
  • Monitor system access and authorization activities ensuring segregation of duties and least privilege.
  • Provide architectural risk decisions and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.
  • Advise during major security incidents, ensuring containment and recovery alignment.
  • Assess new security technologies and trends, producing business cases and integration plans.
  • Set architectural security requirements for suppliers and review designs to manage risks.
  • Define and report KPIs/KRIs on architecture adoption and risk reduction to stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex security architecture issues clearly for executives and project teams.
  • Lead and mentor the security architecture team, fostering continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Essential Qualification: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Security & Networking Technologies.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Cybersecurity Certifications such as GDSA, CISSP, CISM, SABSA (SCF/SCP), TOGAF.
  • Work Experience: 4 - 9 years of experience in enterprise architecture teams in large, complex environments.
