Position

The Senior Manager Data Governance will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing ROSHN's data governance and data privacy program and relevant initiatives. This role is dedicated to ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of data across the organization. It will spearhead efforts to establish and ensure adherence to an enterprise-level data governance and privacy framework for policies, standards, and practices across departments and business units, aiming to achieve the required level of data consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance and data privacy policies and standards for the company.
  • Ensure that data governance policy frameworks are consistently applied across various data domains and business units.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and policies.
  • Work with data stewards in various departments to maintain data quality and responsible usage of data resources.
  • Implement data classification and privacy policies across the company.
  • Monitor data quality and develop standard reports to show progress and current state of data quality.
  • Maintain and improve adoption of the data catalogue, ensuring all data products are included, the business KPI glossary is up to date, and lineage is accurately defined.
  • Lead a team of internal data governance specialists and contractors on different governance initiatives across the company.

Required Skills

  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in implementing end-to-end data governance programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant data protection regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, NDMO, GDPR, CCPA, PDPL).
  • Proficiency in data quality implementation, including workflow management and validation rules.
  • Ability to manage costs, timelines, and scope of data governance and privacy projects, aligning with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing data lineage across various tools and departments in a data mesh setup.
  • Familiarity with BI concepts and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
