Position

The Senior Manager - Data Governance is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures the integrity, quality, consistency, privacy, and compliance of data across the organization. This role positions data as a strategic enterprise asset to enable informed decision-making, regulatory reporting, and digital transformation. The manager ensures full compliance with all applicable local and international data management regulations and standards throughout the data lifecycle and provides expert oversight and guidance on data governance best practices, including data classification, handling, protection, and ethical usage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across all business functions.
  • Lead the adoption of data governance principles to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Define and monitor key data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
  • Implement data quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of data-related issues.
  • Assure compliance with KSA data governance regulations and policies.
  • Roll out defined data governance procedures and standards across the company.
  • Collaborate with different functions to implement data governance policies and standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager related to the nature of the work.
  • Enforce compliance with all necessary controls and information security policies within departmental activities and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in data management governance, including developing internal data policies and processes.
  • Technical Competencies: Data management, policy formulation, data classification & governance.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Decision making, problem-solving, collaboration, communication.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is preferred.
