Senior Manager - Data Governance

The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures the integrity, quality, consistency, privacy, and compliance of data across the organization. The role positions data as a strategic enterprise asset to enable informed decision-making, regulatory reporting, and digital transformation. He/she ensures full compliance with all applicable local and international data management regulations and standards throughout the data lifecycle. The role provides expert oversight and guidance on data governance best practices, including data classification, handling, protection, and ethical usage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across all business functions.
• Lead the adoption of data governance principles to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Define and monitor key data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
• Implement data quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of data-related issues.
• Assure compliance with KSA data governance regulations and policies.
• Roll out defined data governance procedures and standards across the Bank.
• Collaborate with different functions to implement data governance policies and standards.
• Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, and reporting.

Requirements

• Preferred Qualifications: Have a tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
• Recommended to have 5 to 7 years of experience in data management governance.
• Understanding of critical data categories and corresponding levels of accountability and security required.
• Strong understanding of implications of ethical laws, policies, and regulations that impact data management.
• Up-to-date on industry developments and emerging issues in data.
