The role provides expert oversight and guidance on data governance best practices, including data classification, handling, protection, and ethical usage.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across all business functions.
- Lead the adoption of data governance principles to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Define and monitor key data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
- Implement data quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of data-related issues.
- Assure compliance with KSA data governance regulations and policies.
- Roll out defined data governance procedures and standards across the Bank.
- Collaborate with different functions to implement data governance policies and standards.
- Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, and reporting.
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Have a tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
- Recommended to have 5 to 7 years of experience in data management governance.
- Understanding of critical data categories and corresponding levels of accountability and security required.
- Strong understanding of implications of ethical laws, policies, and regulations that impact data management.
- Up-to-date on industry developments and emerging issues in data.
