Responsibilities
- Build database systems of high availability and quality tailored to each end user’s specialized role.
- Design and implement databases based on end users’ information needs and views.
- Define user access and enable data distribution to the right users promptly.
- Utilize high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data effectively.
- Minimize database downtime and adjust parameters to ensure fast query responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training for users.
- Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary changes, including applying patches and updates.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience demonstrating required competencies.
- Proven track record as a specialist individual contributor or team lead managing and delivering projects.
- Strong skills in team or technical supervision, with experience handling complex technical activities and larger clients or accounts.
