Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large implementations of data platforms across the public sector.
- Design and maintain physical data models for data warehouses and operational databases.
- Develop real-time/event-based data engineering pipelines and ingestion pipelines from various data sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Conduct data source analysis and performance tuning of data processing workflows.
Technical Capabilities:
- Proficient in data engineering tools and languages such as Informatica, Talend, T-SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Experience with SQL-based databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another science-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with a strong background in data engineering and architecture, specifically in the public sector.
- Arabic speaker preferred; good command of written and spoken English.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel across the GCC region (up to 75% of the time).
