Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate technical capabilities in programming languages (SAS, Python, R, Scala) for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.
- Utilize machine learning algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch) for data-driven solutions.
- Perform statistical analysis and develop mathematical models.
- Engage with big data processing tools (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement predictive models related to business applications like customer segmentation and demand forecasting.
- Communicate complex findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders and ensure adherence to data governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of practical experience in data science or related roles, with over 5 years in financial services.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the GCC region (50-75% of time).
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Big Four firm or Global System Integrators is advantageous.
- Professional certification in relevant tools or platforms.
- Publications or patents in Data Science topics would be considered an asset.
