Key Responsibilities:
- Establish appropriate and cost-effective IT and application strategies to support business goals and flydubai's growth plans.
- Provide leadership across cross-functional teams including Business and System Analysts, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and Application Support.
- Maintain working relationships with Chiefs and department heads, serving as the single point of contact for all IT matters and agreeing on action plans.
- Provide strategic direction to teams on defining and delivering annual work programs, monitoring key business cases for major investments.
- Ensure service level objectives are agreed upon with the business, conducting regular service reviews, managing escalations, and ensuring business continuity plans are in place.
- Ensure alignment with IT Strategy in technology selection to provide competitive advantage and business value.
- Monitor IT deliveries, project milestones, costs, and key risks, actively participate in decision-making, and resolve issues.
- Support build-versus-buy decisions, manage vendor relationships, and handle service issues at the Chief level when required.
- Drive service improvement programs to enhance cost efficiencies and reduce time to market while identifying and implementing technology improvements.
- Establish career development plans and conduct performance reviews for direct reports to foster a high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Honours in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (3+ years).
- Master's degree in engineering or MBA is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, product/project delivery, and transformation programs.
- Experience leading large IT teams, ideally in the airline industry and awareness of emerging technologies.
- PMP and SAFe certifications are desirable.

ISR Requirements:
- Compliance with ISR policies and diligent reporting of weaknesses or incidents.
- Completion of required ISR awareness sessions and adherence to guidelines in day-to-day operations.
