Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering

The role is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security controls. He/she is responsible for protecting the organization’s network and data from cyber threats, which involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. He/she will assess potential vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. He/she plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Developing the architecture, design, and standards of Network Security controls (Firewalls, Web application firewalls, Cloud Security Access Broker, etc.)
• Provisioning/de-provisioning of network access to applications, infrastructure, and operating systems as per established Policy, Standards, and procedures.
• Leading and participating in activities related to the implementation of network security controls.
• Assisting with troubleshooting and problem analysis by working with other teams, vendors, or users in diagnosing and resolving network security issues.
• Acting as a member of the Security Incident Response Team, actively participating in the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
• Managing daily operations of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure robust network security.
• Developing and enforcing network and cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Ensuring continuous monitoring of network performance and security events, driving proactive incident detection and response.
• Collaborating with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements.
• Leading the evaluation, configuration, and optimization of network and security tools and platforms.
• Overseeing capacity planning, scalability, and high availability of network services.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the line manager related to the nature of the work.
• Enforcing, incorporating, and complying with all necessary controls and information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence, and vigilance within departmental/unit activities and operations.

Required Qualifications

• A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, or any CASB.
• Recommended to have 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience in Networking and Network Security, including 2 years in Cloud networking.
• Experience as a specialist individual contributor or team lead managing and delivering projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex technical activities.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies, and provide consistent superior customer service.
• Knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Expertise in network technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking) and security solutions.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
