Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering

The role is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security controls. This includes protecting the organization’s network and data from cyber threats by designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. The Senior Manager will assess potential vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the architecture, design, and standards of network security controls (e.g., Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud Security Access Broker).
• Provision and de-provision network access to applications, infrastructure, and operating systems according to established policies and procedures.
• Lead and participate in the implementation of network security controls.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem analysis by collaborating with other teams, vendors, or users to resolve network security issues.
• Participate as a member of the Security Incident Response Team in identifying, investigating, and resolving security incidents.
• Manage daily operations of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure robust network security.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance and security events, leading proactive incident detection and response.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to align regulatory and security requirements.
• Lead the evaluation, configuration, and optimization of network and security tools and platforms.
• Oversee capacity planning, scalability, and high availability of network services.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to the nature of the work.
• Enforce compliance with all necessary controls and information security policies within departmental activities.

Qualifications:

• A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, or any CASB are preferred.

Years & Nature of Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience in Networking and Network Security, with at least 2 years in Cloud networking.
• Experience as a specialist contributor or team lead, managing and delivering projects.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on customer service.
• Knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in network technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking) and security solutions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
