Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering

The Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security controls to protect the organization's network and data from cyber threats. This includes designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. The role also involves assessing potential vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the architecture, design, and standards of Network Security controls (Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud Security Access Broker, etc.).
• Provision and de-provision network access to applications, infrastructure, and operating systems as per established policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead and participate in activities related to the implementation of network security controls.
• Troubleshoot and analyze problems by collaborating with other teams, vendors, or users in diagnosing and resolving network security issues.
• Actively participate as a member of the Security Incident Response Team in identifying, investigating, and resolving security incidents.
• Manage daily operations of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure robust network security.
• Develop and enforce network and cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance and security events, driving proactive incident detection and response.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements.
• Oversee the evaluation, configuration, and optimization of network and security tools and platforms.
• Participate in capacity planning, scalability, and high availability of network services.
• Enforce and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, and personal due diligence within departmental activities.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, or any CASB.
• 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience in Networking and Network Security, with at least 2 years of experience in Cloud networking.
• Expertise in complex technical activities and project management.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and commitment to superior customer service.
• Demonstrable knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Strong expertise in network technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking) and security solutions.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
