As the Senior Manager within the Product and System Engineering function, you will lead efforts to identify high-impact Satcom technologies and develop solutions that align with Space42’s strategic goals. This role requires a solid technical knowledge combined with strong leadership skills to oversee technology assessments, engage with providers, and manage projects and partnerships.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with high-impact and emerging technology providers.
- Assess project and initiative costs with other departments and manage associated risks.
- Define and negotiate terms for technology acquisition and partnership with third parties.
- Lead a small engineering team and ensure alignment with industry trends.
- Implement engineering standards and processes.
- Lead project delivery, ensuring specifications are met on schedule and within budget.
- Manage customer satisfaction and drive supplier engagement.
- Streamline internal processes and assure accountability.
- Support the Commercial Team in validating delivery programs and mitigating risks.
- Contribute to Space42’s technology roadmap, ensuring the introduction of latest technologies.
- Mentor junior staff to ensure departmental continuity.
Qualifications:
- Master’s in Engineering or equivalent; Telecommunications and Electrical preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in the Satellite/Telecom industry.
- Military Satcom and defense industry experience is a plus.
- PMP, ITIL, Prince 2 certification is a plus.
Technical Requirements:
- Expert-level expertise in satellite communications and operations.
- Advanced proficiency in systems engineering and satellite product development.
- Strong experience in project and team management, budgeting, and risk management.
- Track record in managing complex projects in the Satellite/Telecom domain.
