Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to align project initiatives with the organization's goals. Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans and initiatives.
- PMO Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the PMO team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Develop and implement PMO policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent project management practices.
- Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio optimization. Support the evaluation of project proposals and prioritize initiatives based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and impact.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and internal policies. Conduct regular project reviews to assess compliance with project management methodologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, and support decision-making processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies. Foster a culture of innovation and learning within the PMO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, ideally in a leadership role within a PMO.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably in the technology sector.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset capable of delivering business value through effective project management practices.
