About the Job: This senior role, reporting to the Head of Architecture and Technology, defines the technical and enterprise vision for solutions and ensures alignment with business needs and architectural standards. The Solutions and Technology Architecture Lead drives strategic technology decisions, leading a high-performing team to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and reusable solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Working closely with the Head of Architecture & Technology, Business Architecture Lead, and Data and Information Architecture Lead to build and govern an enterprise architecture framework aligned with organizational objectives. - Developing both short-term and long-term roadmaps and target state architecture to enhance Etihad’s core capabilities. - Ensuring that solution and technology architecture standards are effectively implemented across all solutions. - Evaluating existing and emerging technologies and advising on their potential to create competitive advantages. Chapter Leadership: - Lead and motivate a team of solution and technology architects, providing line management and performance management. - Define and oversee the learning and development plans for the solution architecture chapter. - Continuously improve tooling, processes, and methods in alignment with industry standards for solution and technology architecture. Digital Transformation Enablement: - Lead the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery. - Consult with product and project delivery teams on leveraging technologies to support business initiatives. - Promote agile delivery methods and modern architectural practices such as microservices, APIs, and cloud solutions. Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory, along with one or more Solution/Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Well-Architected Frameworks). - A minimum of 10 years of experience designing enterprise-grade solutions in complex IT environments, including 5+ years leading cross-functional technical teams. - Proven abilities in driving change and delivering products via Agile and Waterfall methodologies, focusing on scalable architecture. - Expertise in the airline industry is preferred, along with strong stakeholder management experience. Language Requirements: - Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills may be advantageous.
