The post-holder will lead the integration strategy, coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams and contractors, and drive integration testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the overall technical integration strategy for Metro Line 7.
- Define integration principles, standards, and acceptance criteria.
- Establish integration forums and technical coordination meetings across all packages and disciplines.
- Ensure clear definition of responsibilities and interfaces among all parties involved.
- Implement systems engineering methodologies across Metro Line 7 subsystems.
- Oversee the Interface Control Document (ICD) process and manage technical queries.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary design reviews and oversee integration testing and commissioning strategy.
- Monitor test results and drive the resolution of cross-discipline design issues.
- Act as the principal point of contact for technical integration matters.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Rail, or related discipline).
- Approximately 15 years of experience in rail/metro or complex systems integration projects.
- Proven experience in leading technical integration or systems engineering on major infrastructure programs.
- Strong understanding of rail systems and their interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience with systems engineering processes, RAMS, and safety case development.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a multi-contractor environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging program milestones.
- Experience in KSA or GCC rail/metro mega-projects.
- Strong proficiency in English is essential.
Desirable Skills:
- Postgraduate qualification in Systems Engineering, Rail Engineering, or related field.
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
- Familiarity with EN railway standards and requirements management tools.
- Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
