About the Job:
The Senior Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for a set of technology categories across the company locations. This role ensures category-level delivery of service to businesses and manages spend and cost savings in line with the strategies set by the Tech Sourcing Head. It plays a pivotal role in translating sourcing strategies into actionable plans within assigned categories across Group Locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Champion and ensure successful implementation of plans and strategies for all assigned categories while leading all strategies to ensure operational excellence.
  • Drive Best Category Performance: Deliver sustainable competitive advantage for the company by focusing on Cost, Innovation, Quality, and supplier relationship management while ensuring flawless service and supply security.
  • Manage Direct Reports: Lead a team of sourcing managers, setting targets and objectives to meet business requirements.
  • Business Process and Information Management: Drive annual cost savings and supplier/service improvements across sourcing teams, streamlining processes for efficiency.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs for each spend category, define data collection processes, forecast budgetary impact, and track actual savings.
  • Monitor Category Strategy: Ensure active monitoring of contract performance to meet identified savings and compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Management: Collaborate with stakeholders regularly to ensure alignment of sourcing activities across Group Locations.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop key supplier relationships for assigned portfolios.
  • Best Practices for Sourcing Categories: Promote adoption of best practices and regular knowledge exchange across the team.
  • Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MCIPS or CIPS 3/4 level.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/category management with a multi-year track record of delivering cost savings.
  • Technical skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, market research & intelligence, and risk management.
  • Managerial skills: Project management, negotiating, change management, and stakeholder management.
