ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Fabrication at the company to design, optimize, and implement fabrication layouts and manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards. The role involves planning production workflows, defining equipment and resource requirements, validating prototype manufacturing processes, and monitoring production costs and KPIs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and optimize fabrication layouts, workflows, and manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and control production costs.
  • Validate prototype manufacturing processes, conduct time and motion studies, verify MBOMs, and ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor production performance, labour productivity, equipment efficiency, and quality KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement process improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and efficient serial production operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, preferably within the aerospace and composite manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with composite part industrialization from engineering definition through production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong working knowledge of CATIA V5.
  • Experience with Composite Part Design (CPD) Catia.
  • Ability to review 3D models, engineering drawings and assemblies.
  • Experience with composite ply definition and ply flattening.
  • Experience preparing manufacturing data for laser projection systems.
  • Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
  • Experience supporting NCR/MRB activities from the Manufacturing Engineering side.
  • Experience with ERP/PLM systems such as SAP and ARAS is desirable.
  • Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing routings/mBOM/WKI.
  • Experience Tooling/Assy jigs design.
