Position

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Masterplan Manager to join a dedicated, full-time team embedded in our client’s Masterplan function in Riyadh. The team will support the planning and delivery of large-scale, multi-venue entertainment events in Saudi Arabia.
The Senior Masterplan Manager is a flexible, senior producer who will move across events, products, and workstreams as priorities require, rather than being fixed to a single stream.
In this role, you will:

  • Produce detailed masterplans, fully dimensioned layouts, and end-to-end visitor journeys.
  • Reconcile competing space requirements across stakeholders.
  • Act as the single named point of contact for planning integration across multiple stakeholder groups.
This is a hands-on producing role. The grade reflects your seniority and judgment, not the size of a team you supervise. We are looking for professionals who personally create the layouts, journeys, and space plans themselves.

Key Responsibilities
Master Planning and Layouts

  • Produce detailed masterplans and fully dimensioned layouts for venues, activation spaces, and common areas.
  • Work across multiple events, products, and workstreams as priorities shift, bringing flexibility and breadth to the team.
  • Ensure all layouts are accurate, practical, and aligned with operational, safety, and stakeholder requirements.

Visitor Journey and Crowd Flow

  • Design and document the end-to-end visitor journey, covering entry, access, circulation, queueing, viewing, dwell time, and departure.
  • Identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks to ensure smooth and safe visitor movement.
  • Define the journeys for each guest category (Protocol, VVIP, VIP, Guests, and Visitors), including crowd flow and pathing.

Space Management

  • Reconcile competing space requirements from multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Space Inventory and support the Space Allocation Register.
  • Balance commercial, operational, and guest experience needs when allocating space.

Risk and Contingency Planning

  • Maintain the live risk register for your areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and update contingency plans to prepare the team for operational challenges.

Stakeholder Integration

  • Act as the single named point of contact for planning integration across stakeholder streams, including rights holders, partners, content creators, sponsors, government entities, and media.
  • Turn stakeholder requirements into clear, workable spatial and journey solutions.
  • Keep all parties aligned throughout the planning and delivery cycle.

Experience

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience at Senior Manager level.
  • Experience across at least two live event seasons.
  • Breadth across more than one master planning discipline, with the ability to lead any stream. Candidates with a single specialism would not be suitable.
  • A proven record of personally producing layouts, visitor journeys, and space plans. Only experience where you personally produced the work counts towards the requirement.

Desirable

  • Proficiency in CAD or other layout and design tools.
  • Experience with crowd modelling.
  • Experience in stadium, arena, or festival site planning.
  • Experience planning large-scale, multi-venue entertainment or sporting events.

Languages

  • Professional English is required.
  • Arabic is an advantage.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time and exclusive: you will be dedicated to the client for the full contract term, with no other clients or projects.
  • Mobilisation: you must be able to mobilise within 48 hours of contract award, which is expected to begin in October 2026.

Benefits

  • A competitive package for the duration of a 14-month contract, with the potential to extend by up to 3 months.
  • Flexible working, with a remote option for suitable candidates.
  • The chance to shape the master planning of large-scale, multi-venue events in Riyadh.
  • A senior, hands-on role in a dedicated specialist team embedded with a major client.
  • Exposure to a wide range of high-profile stakeholders, including government, sponsors, and international partners.
  • Valuable experience on one of the region’s most dynamic live events programs.
