Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and monitoring of mechanical works related to:
- Rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines)
- Static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, boilers)
- Interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, datasheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure equipment is installed and aligned per manufacturer specifications and project procedures, including:
- Shaft alignment
- Grouting
- Soft foot checks
- Witness equipment testing, including:
- Hydrostatic testing
- Pneumatic testing
- Mechanical run tests
- Alignment checks
- Monitor welding, fabrication, assembly, and erection of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with:
- WPS, PQR, and project specifications
- Verify material certificates, inspection and test reports (ITRs), and documentation per Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- More than 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas field projects
- Experienced as Site Third Party Inspector (TPI) for mechanical works
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, including the ability to write technical reports
- Computer literate with familiarity in International Standards related to Mechanical activities (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, BS)
- Valid UAE Driving License
