Senior Member of Technical Staff, MLE

Cohere's mission is to scale intelligence to serve humanity by training and deploying frontier models for developers and enterprises building AI systems. This role entails working directly with customers to identify problems and design solutions using Large Language Models. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will manage large-scale projects from ideation to production and mentor a distributed team of engineers.

Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute large-group projects.
• Bring cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and other disciplines.
• Identify opportunities and gaps in existing models and strategize on improvements.
• Collaborate with product teams to develop effective solutions.
• Engage with partner organizations and assist in preparing legal patents on developed IP.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in leading ML teams in applied research and production.
• Experience in executing technical direction to build or refine products.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related ML frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, JAX, etc.).
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed training and inference.
• Excellent mentorship, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Working proficiency in Arabic is required.
