You will drive the design, performance, scalability, and robustness of a multi-service platform that includes real-time integrations, Kafka pipelines, and enterprise-grade data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a backend team (5 developers), providing architectural direction, enforcing clean code, and overseeing technical delivery.
- Design, build, and maintain .NET Core microservices running at scale in production.
- Ensure the system is highly scalable, maintainable, and performs under load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: DevOps, QA, front-end, mobile, and product.
- Drive implementation of design patterns, caching strategies, and Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms.
- Manage third-party integrations, payment flows, scheduling engines, and user onboarding workflows.
- Participate in the refactoring and hardening of existing production components while continuing greenfield development.
- Play an active role in performance optimization, architecture evolution, and tech decisions.
- Enforce Git standards, CI/CD practices, and Agile development principles.
Requirements:
- 7-8 years of experience in backend development with .NET (experience with .NET Core is essential).
- Strong leadership and mentoring background within a Scrum or Agile team.
- Experience in designing and maintaining microservices architecture.
- Expertise in asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Strong grasp of database design (Oracle preferred), including query optimization and high-volume data management.
- Hands-on experience with CDC and event-driven systems.
- Solid understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Strong focus on application performance, stability, and observability.
- Proficiency in building secure REST APIs and integrating with external systems.
- Familiarity with modern development practices: code reviews, automation, CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with event-driven frameworks (MassTransit, NServiceBus).
- Exposure to frontend frameworks (Blazor, Angular, or React).
- Familiarity with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
