The Senior Network and Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading network modernization initiatives such as cloud connectivity and high-availability designs.
- Defining network standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
- Providing L3/L4 support for complex network and security issues to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of network infrastructure.
- Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and driving permanent fixes.
- Designing, deploying, and managing network security controls (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
- Implementing and tuning security policies, and supporting security audits and compliance assessments.
- Collaborating with InfoSec and SOC teams on incident response and threat mitigation.
- Managing secure connectivity to public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Leading network and security projects and coordinating with vendors and service providers.
Location: Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site, with occasional on-call or after-hours support; Hybrid or on-site work depending on organizational policies; Involves traveling to branch offices within UAE for deployments and support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience in IT networking, supporting enterprise and corporate environments.
- Strong expertise in networking protocols and standards, especially Layer 2 and Layer 3 operations.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-grade switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructures.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with effective collaboration capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge in enterprise LAN, WAN, and campus network design.
- In-depth experience managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco FTD, Palo Alto).
- Hands-on experience with network access control (NAC) solutions and security technologies.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
