Position Overview
The Senior Network Architect is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable and secure network infrastructure that supports critical communication among data centers, remote environments, and smart city systems. This role involves collaboration with ISPs, internal security teams, and various stakeholders to ensure effective data flow, system interoperability, and network resilience.
Responsibilities

Network Design & Architecture
- Architect and implement enterprise-grade network solutions using Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Arista systems.
- Design and deploy L2/L3 network infrastructure for data centers, edge sites, and WAN environments.
- Define and enforce network standards and architecture blueprints.

WAN & VPN Infrastructure
- Manage IPSec, MPLS, and SD-WAN connectivity between the data center and distributed remote sites.
- Ensure optimal latency and throughput in collaboration with regional ISPs.

Network Security & Segmentation
- Collaborate on implementing firewalls and other security measures.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policies and safeguard against threats.

Traffic Engineering & Performance Optimization
- Monitor network traffic and resolve performance anomalies.
- Implement QoS and bandwidth shaping for high-volume applications.

Monitoring, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Maintain network health monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot critical network incidents effectively.

Change and Configuration Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure changes.
- Ensure all changes adhere to ITIL-based best practices.

Project Leadership & Vendor Coordination
- Lead network-related projects and coordinate with equipment suppliers.

Stakeholder Communication
- Provide technical communication to stakeholders and participate in design approval meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network architecture in large-scale environments.
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Certifications in Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE4/NSE7, or Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE.
- Proficiency in network planning and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
