Senior Network Engineer

About the Job:
Penta Consulting is a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner delivering professional and managed solutions across EMEA. We are seeking a visionary Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) to lead the design and deployment of ultra-low latency, VXLAN EVPN-based data center networks tailored for hypercomputing and AI workloads. This role offers an opportunity to shape scalable infrastructure supporting GPU-accelerated clusters, massive distributed training, and high-throughput AI inference across hybrid environments.

What You'll Be Driving:

• Architect next-gen spine-leaf fabrics using Cisco Nexus 9000 or Arista EOS
• Design and optimize VXLAN EVPN overlay networks with BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS protocols
• Tune network performance for RoCEv2, GPUDirect, and RDMA traffic flows
• Integrate networking with Kubernetes-powered AI platforms and virtual environments (NSX, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Automate deployments using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and IaC methodologies
• Collaborate across compute, storage, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end performance for large-scale model training and inference

What You Bring:

• Proven track record in VXLAN EVPN data center architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI/Nexus and Arista switching platforms
• Mastery of underlay/overlay protocols, multicast routing, and fabric path optimization
• Deep familiarity with AI-specific networking: RoCEv2, DCB, PFC, RDMA
• Automation expertise using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
• Understanding of distributed systems and GPU-based workloads in AI/HPC ecosystems

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNP or CCIE Data Center (highly desirable)
• Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Core/Data Center Core
• NVIDIA Networking (Cumulus/Spectrum) or Arista ACE – a strong plus
• Bonus: Hybrid/multi-cloud networking experience
