Experience Requirements
Minimum ten (10) years of network engineering, including at least five (5) years in a senior role supporting enterprise or government networks.
Mandatory Certification
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent)
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher or Palo Alto PCNSE
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the client's network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, data center, wireless, and perimeter)
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls in line with the client's security policies
- Plan and implement network changes, firmware upgrades, and security patches through the client's change management
- Conduct periodic firewall rule reviews and network security hardening
- Resolve network incidents within SLA and perform RCA for P1/P2 incidents
- Perform capacity planning and performance optimization
- Maintain network diagrams, IP address management, and configuration backups
Must-Have Skills
- Routing and switching: Cisco IOS/NX-OS, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and VRFs
- Next-generation firewalls: Fortinet FortiGate and/or Palo Alto; VPN (site-to-site and remote access)
- Data center networking, load balancers (F5 or equivalent), and SD-WAN
- Wireless LAN and network access control (Cisco ISE or equivalent, 802.1X)
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark or equivalent)
- Network security: segmentation, ACLs, and firewall rule review and hardening
- Network automation/scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage
Nice to Have
- Cisco CCIE or Fortinet NSE 7
- Experience with government network interconnections in the UAE
- IPv6 deployment experience
Certifications: CCIE, NSE 7, or Cisco ISE certification
