Senior Network Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with one of our esteemed clients, a global leader in the IT Industry known for its commitment to quality and innovation. They have chosen the company as their trusted partner for their upcoming projects.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time
Duration: 6+ months (extendable)
Notice Period: Maximum 30 days
Experience Required: 5+ years

Qualification & Skills Required:
Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP.
• ITIL Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Administration role.

Desirable:

• MBA.
• Project Management Certification (Waterfall and Agile).
• ISO 27001 Certification.
• Two or more years of experience managing Network and Security Projects.

Must-Have Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of all layers of the OSI model and LAN/WAN networks.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Familiarity with network security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English is expected; additional language skills may be advantageous.
