About the Role:
- Solid understanding of all layers of the OSI model and LAN/WAN networks.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Familiarity with network security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledge of GDPR and other international security-related guidelines and regulations.
- Knowledge of PCI, ISO, and UAE Security Regulations (Consumer and Data).
- Solid understanding of Information Security operations and governance.
Operations Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and events to identify potential issues and threats.
- Coordinate incident response activities with internal and external teams, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
- Provide administration and support, ensuring standard practices, and configuring applications and hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of network services.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop network solutions supporting business objectives.
- Execute network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and after-hours support as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
