Position

The Level 3 Senior Network & Wireless Ops Engineer is a technical expert responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing the organization's enterprise wireless infrastructure (WLAN, controllers, BYOD). This role ensures high-performance, compliance (SAMA/NCA), and scalable wireless solutions integrated with the broader network architecture while also overseeing performance and optimization of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Wireless Architecture: Lead Wi-Fi 6/6E deployments, site surveys, and capacity planning. Design cloud-managed WLAN (Cisco DNAC, Aruba Central) and hybrid architectures.
  • Network Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and optimize routing, switching, and interconnectivity across LAN, WAN, DMZ, B2B, and cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, and security of network services.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve RF interference, roaming issues, and CAPWAP failures using Wireshark/Ekahau; lead root cause analysis.
  • Design & Implementation: Engage in network design reviews and implement enterprise-grade network infrastructure (ACI, SD-WAN, etc.).
  • Network Change Management: Execute and oversee network configuration changes, migrations, and upgrades in compliance with change control policies, ensuring minimal downtime and risk to production systems.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor network performance using tools like SNMP, NetFlow, and telemetry; analyze trends and implement tuning strategies.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on end-to-end service delivery; provide guidance to Level 2 engineers and junior staff.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Typically 3+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • Expert-level knowledge in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP, VTP), and IP addressing.
  • Proficient in Cisco WLC/Aruba/Meraki, RF tools, and WIPS.
  • Solid understanding of network segmentation, redundancy, and HA principles.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, especially under high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications: Cisco CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center track), SD-WAN certifications (Cisco, Viptela), ACI or Nexus-related training.

Language Requirement:

  • English: C2 Proficient
