Your Role:
As a Senior Dashboard Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture of the NOC’s visual intelligence ecosystem. Your main tasks will include designing, building, and governing a comprehensive suite of dashboards which serve as the central Command and Control interface for network operations. This role necessitates the capability to convert complex, real-time network data into clear, actionable insights for both engineering teams and senior leadership, facilitating timely operational decisions and data-driven executive oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a structured, drill-down dashboard architecture linking executive-level overviews to detailed technical performance views.
- Define and propose relevant KPIs aligned with business outcomes, ensuring the NOC measures what truly matters.
- Develop intuitive, high-visibility dashboard layouts for NOC video walls and mobile-responsive executive views.
- Integrate multiple data sources—including NMS, ticketing systems, CRM, and financial platforms—into a unified "Single Pane of Glass."
- Establish and enforce dashboard standards, maintaining consistency in design, color schemes, scaling, and naming conventions.
- Enable real-time monitoring and historical analysis to support operational tracking, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Dashboard Portfolio Expectations:
You will design, build, and interconnect dashboards across various layers:
- Executive Strategy Layer: High-level views focused on overall network health, SLA compliance, and business impact for C-suite stakeholders.
- Operational Management Layer: Performance dashboards enabling NOC leadership to track efficiency, incident trends, and resource utilization.
- Technical Engineering Layer: Deep-dive dashboards providing real-time telemetry for troubleshooting, infrastructure stability, and circuit health.
- Historical & Trend Layer: Analytical dashboards supporting capacity planning, trend analysis, and post-incident root cause analysis.
Your Profile:
- 12+ years of experience in data visualization, dashboard engineering, or network operations environments.
- Advanced expertise in BI and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI for executive reporting, and Grafana (or similar) for real-time monitoring.
- Strong understanding of data integration using SQL, APIs, and time-series databases.
- Solid knowledge of telecommunications KPIs including latency, jitter, throughput, MTTR, and availability.
- Experience applying UI/UX design principles for high-pressure operational environments with high data density.
