Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Node.js applications, specifically within the P2P stack.
- Expand and enhance our ecosystem of over 1500 public npm modules and ensure modularity and reusability of code.
- Write modular and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to best practices in development.
- Manage and create reusable npm modules that contribute to overall application performance.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with a remote, globally distributed team, maintaining clear communication and coordination.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications.
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code and managing reusable npm modules.
- Solid skillset in testing and debugging software applications.
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and diverse team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++) or binding JavaScript to lower-level code.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems for latency, throughput, and overall performance.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts is a plus.
- Past contributions to open-source projects, especially those related to P2P or decentralized technology, will be highly regarded.
