Position

We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Officer - Business Continuity Management to join our team at Dubai Silicon Oasis, where you'll be responsible for day-to-day management and handling Business Continuity activities of RAKBANK. Work closely with business and BCM coordinators to complete BCM activities while adhering to internal requirements and external regulatory (CBUAE) guidelines and BCM standards. Participate in the development, validation, maintenance and monitoring of standards and plans for business continuity and crisis management of the Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Actively facilitate and participate in BCP tests, recording results and addressing follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and ensure DR tests are conducted as planned, analyze gaps, and collaborate with IT to resolve them.
  • Prepare incident reports and perform root cause analysis for continual improvement.
  • Organize emergency evacuation drills, ensuring preparedness and effectiveness.
  • Conduct corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities identified during internal audits of BCMS.
  • Execute corrective and preventive measures following incidents to drive continual improvement.
  • Perform business impact and dependency analyses for processes or system unavailability.
  • Develop BCP templates for structured data collection and analysis.
  • Engage in discussions with managers and staff to gather insights on current practices and procedures.
  • Document recovery procedures in agreed-upon formats for clarity and consistency.
  • Assist in rolling out BC plans and ensuring the continuity plans remain up-to-date.
  • Facilitate BCM-related training programs, covering roles, responsibilities, emergency response, and incident management.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a Family Book
  • Degree/Diploma in Business Management or Information Technology or Equivalent Professional Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a reputed Bank, including minimum 2 years in specialised areas such as IT/Projects/Banking Operations/Risk Management/Audit etc.
  • Working knowledge of Business Continuity Planning.
  • Good technical IT knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Banking and financial service processes.
  • Procedure writing and documentation.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Valid driving license and knowledge of Emirates laws, procedures and roads.
