Job Specific Accountabilities

Contract Management

  • Review and evaluate tender documents, bids, proposals, and quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Support in negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring that the terms and conditions align with procurement objectives and standards.
  • Assist the contract administrator in monitoring and managing the performance of contracted parties, ensuring deliverables are met according to contract specifications and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve any contractual issues, disputes, or claims, and escalate them as appropriate.

Contract Development

  • Develop and update contract templates, forms, and procedures in accordance with procurement policies and best practices.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and contractors, establishing long-term relationships.
  • Provide input and feedback on the procurement strategy, plan, and budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Purchasing Section, Legal Department, and Audit Department, to ensure smooth and efficient contract processes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual matters and conduct training and awareness sessions for staff and contracted parties.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 6 years of experience in contract management.
  • Good knowledge of the contract principles, practices, processes, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and challenging contractual situations.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and contract management software.
  • Good written and spoken English, with a preference for Arabic.
