Senior Officer-Investigations

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Officer - Investigations to join our Investigations Team in Dubai. The Senior Officer-Investigations is responsible for supporting the Head of Business Unit with investigations related to criminal activity of employees through whistleblowing, complaints, and concerns from both employees and third parties. This role also involves reviewing and evaluating compliance issues. The Senior Officer-Investigations reports to the Head and may lead investigations and resolutions of complaints and allegations, in consultation with the Head.

Responsibilities

• Financial:

  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within the Company to assist the Head of Investigations in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Highlight legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing laws, recommending new procedures, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

• Customer:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business units to provide advice on investigation matters and to identify opportunities for initiatives that improve behavior standards.
  • Collaborate with other business units on complaints, allegations of misconduct, and compliance issues for investigation and resolution.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and other business units to deliver an effective investigations training program, including introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all employees and managers.

• Process:

  • Carry out investigations as directed by the Head of Investigations.
  • Maintain high moral ethics and periodically review policies and procedures for the general operation of the investigation function to prevent illegal or unethical conduct.
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules and regulations by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
  • Compile and provide detailed, factual, evidential reports regarding investigations to the Head, and keep the CFO/CEO informed of the operations and progress of investigations as requested.
  • Provide support to the Ethics hotline and promote the Investigations communication program organization-wide, including awareness of the Ethics hotline and understanding of compliance issues and related policies.

• Innovation:

  • Support the Head in developing the Investigations strategy and associated policies aligned with the Company’s strategic aims and the Code of Conduct.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Investigations operating procedures to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Continuously support the performance of the Investigations function and take steps to improve its effectiveness.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining networks to stay updated on relevant issues and trends.

Selection Criteria

• Previous experience in Investigation, Compliance monitoring, and Complaint handling
• Strong teamwork skills
• Accurate and professional written communication
• Ability to present and conduct training for all levels
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
• Investigations or Law background, or experience in police/military is desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
