Core42 is seeking a Senior Officer - IT Assets to manage its IT assets and consumables by controlling supply and demand, optimizing IT infrastructure, and acting as the single point of contact for procurement and delivery. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT asset management policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and integrity of asset data.
- Monitor asset utilization and recommend strategies for optimizing resource allocation.
- Coordinate procurement and disposal activities for IT assets within budgetary constraints and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and maintain an up-to-date inventory of software licenses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess IT asset requirements.
- Implement and maintain IT asset tracking tools and systems for enhanced visibility and control.
- Analyze asset lifecycle costs, recommending strategies for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure proper security controls for IT assets.
- Evaluate industry innovations, trends, and recommend new technologies related to IT asset management.
- Manage asset end-of-life processes and run disposal procedures as required.
- Oversee asset distribution in accordance with HR and facilities management.
- Ensure data integrity of asset records and resolve discrepancies regarding items received.
- Plan and schedule inventory to meet organizational needs, overseeing ordering and delivery schedules.
- Inspect incoming materials for conformity with order specifications and defects.
- Prepare MIS statements and reports to meet departmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in IT infrastructure or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of IT services best practices and proven experience in IT asset management or related roles.
