Responsibilities
- Multi-cloud and Container Platform:
- Responsible for the planning, deployment, upgrades, maintenance, and cost optimization of multi-cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.
- Automation and Delivery:
- Advance infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible; maintain CI/CD pipelines; support development deployments and environment setups.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
- Manage operations of databases, sharding, and middleware; establish cross-region and cross-cloud disaster recovery solutions; implement backup recovery and conduct disaster recovery drills.
- Network and Security:
- Optimize Cloudflare and global access links; enforce cloud security hardening, permissions management, and attack protection.
- Monitoring and Incident Response:
- Enhance monitoring, logging, and alert systems; participate in on-call rotations; address online incidents; conduct post-mortems and document operations processes.
Requirements
- Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or related fields; over 5 years of operations/SRE experience, with more than 3 years in production environment Kubernetes operations.
- Cloud Platforms and Containers:
- Ability to independently set up, upgrade, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters; familiarity with Docker and Helm; proficient in at least two of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Azure.
- Databases and Middleware:
- Knowledge of high availability, backup recovery, and performance tuning for MySQL and PostgreSQL; experience with ShardingSphere, MyCat, and the operation of message queues, Redis, Nginx, and Elasticsearch components.
- Automation Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux; skilled in using Terraform and Ansible to manage production environments; able to write automation scripts in at least one of the following languages: Shell, Python, or Go.
- Disaster Recovery, Network and Security:
- Practical experience in implementing remote disaster recovery; experience with Cloudflare configurations, network link optimization, and cloud security enhancements.
- Work Adaptability:
- Willingness to work on-site in Dubai long-term and participate in on-call duties; fluent in English for technical communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Development and AI Operations:
- Background in backend development, operations platform development, or practical experience with AIOps and AI-driven operations applications.
- Business and International Experience:
- Experience in high concurrency internet, finance, or payment system operations; or experience with multi-region deployments in the Middle East and internationally.
- Technical and Team Skills:
- Familiarity with GitOps, service mesh, link tracing, or advanced Cloudflare functionalities; holding relevant technical certifications; experience in security compliance, team management, and leading technical initiatives.
