As a Senior Operations Manager, you will own day-to-day service delivery across landscaping and facilities management operations in Muscat, ensuring safe, consistent performance against agreed KPIs. You will lead large site teams through supervisors, coordinate subcontractors, and act as the main operational contact for clients. This role is onsite at the company’s premises and focuses on manpower planning, operational control, and delivery governance. Your impact will be measured through service continuity, client satisfaction, compliance, and the stability and productivity of frontline teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end operations for landscaping and FM service lines, ensuring daily delivery meets contract scope and specifications.
  • Manage supervisors and frontline teams at scale, setting clear priorities, routines, productivity expectations, and conduct standards.
  • Control subcontractor performance through scopes of work, method statements, scheduling, quality checks, and documented corrective actions.
  • Own client management on operational matters, including reviews, escalations, complaints resolution, and day-to-day communication cadence.
  • Define and track KPIs for service delivery, presenting performance reports with clear actions to recover slippage.
  • Plan manpower requirements by site and seasonality, balancing coverage, productivity targets, leave plans, and mobilisation needs.
  • Organise resource allocation for equipment and materials to support public realm maintenance activities without service interruption.
  • Implement site operating procedures for inspections, snagging close-out, quality assurance checks, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with support functions on recruitment requests, onboarding needs, training gaps, disciplinary processes, and workforce welfare issues.
  • Maintain operational readiness for audits and client reporting by keeping records current for attendance, outputs, incidents, and subcontractor compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Operations Management roles within landscaping or Facilities Management (FM) or community management or public realm operations.
  • Proven experience managing large teams through supervisors in a multi-site or contract-based environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing subcontractors across mobilisation planning, daily control, quality checks, and performance follow-up.
  • Strong client management experience including routine reviews plus handling escalations through to resolution.
  • Track record of KPI management for service delivery including setting measures, monitoring performance trends, and driving recovery actions.
  • Demonstrated manpower planning capability covering rosters or deployment plans aligned to workload forecasts and contractual coverage requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Facilities Management or Horticulture or Landscape Management or Operations Management or Business Administration (or closely related field).
