You will play a key role in ensuring database reliability, scalability, and operational excellence while supporting critical business applications and services.
Work Conditions:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain enterprise database environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and configuration changes.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, database configurations, and resource utilization.
- Implement database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available database architectures.
- Support database deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Oracle Database: Administration, RMAN Backup & Recovery, Data Guard, RAC, Performance Tuning, Security, Auditing, and Access Management.
- Oracle Exadata: Architecture & Operations, Performance Optimization.
- Microsoft SQL Server: Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery.
- MySQL: Performance Optimization, Backup & Recovery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Database Administration and Operations.
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Exadata Certification, Microsoft Certified: SQL Server.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English (additional language skills a plus).
