The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team at Microsoft is a sales organization dedicated to the commercial partner business. Our mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services, and devices with partners, empowering individuals and organizations to achieve more.
As a Partner Solution Architect, you will collaborate closely with partners to understand their technical needs and business objectives. Your role will involve guiding them through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and assisting in the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments. Your focus will be on ensuring these solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency. Your contributions will be essential in helping significant partners design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative cloud architectures that meet market demands. Leveraging your expertise in technical leadership, cloud computing, and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by facilitating digital transformation, optimizing performance, and fostering innovation through cloud technologies.

Responsibilities
- Design Cloud Architectures: Develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs, enabling businesses to efficiently manage growth and changing demands.
- Lead Architectural Design Sessions: Conduct collaborative planning and design sessions to create effective cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots: Show the feasibility and benefits of proposed cloud solutions to gain partner buy-in and facilitate adoption.
- Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Ensure successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions, maximizing partner satisfaction and the value of their cloud investments.
- Transition Partners from Legacy Systems: Support smooth transitions to modern cloud environments to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field with 6+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting, systems administration, network operations, software development, or related fields; OR a Master's degree in the same fields with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- 6-10+ years of related experience in technology IP solutions, with a deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging trends such as generative AI.
- Strong background and extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically focusing on Microsoft's Azure Infrastructure and App Innovation.
- Experience in cloud architecture, migration, and optimization is highly desirable.
