As a Partner Solution Engineer at Snowflake, you'll engage deeply with partners and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle. Your responsibilities will include presenting Snowflake's technology and vision to decision-makers and technical contributors, building technical champions within partners, and fostering the local Snowflake technical community. You will keep abreast of industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously enhance Snowflake’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to decision-makers and technical contributors at partners, prospects, and customers.
- Engage with partners and customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle.
- Build technical champions within partners and grow the local Snowflake technical community.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industry and manage Snowflake's positioning relative to competitors.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to drive product improvements.
Qualifications:
- 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years in a pre-sales environment working with consulting & SI partners.
- Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
- Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL.
- Experience in data engineering and data science, along with hands-on Python experience, is highly desirable.
- Ability to connect specific business problems with Snowflake’s solutions.
- A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Flexibility to travel to South Africa is required, with preferable experience in the South African market.
