Location
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (META Regional Headquarters), with regular travel across the GCC and Africa.

Your Contribution
You will:

  • Build and run the META pricing framework across technology tiers (SLI, EFB, AGM, xEV), brands (VARTA, OPTIMA, Delkor, Energizer, private label), and countries, balancing premium positioning with local competitive realities.
  • Deliver the META net pricing target and protect margin per unit, in support of the META standard margin target.
  • Ensure pricing discipline across the distributor network and channels (OEM, OES, aftermarket, fleet), preventing grey-market activity and undercutting that erodes brand value.
  • Set up pricing governance for the new Riyadh regional HQ including price and deal approval rules, price analytics, and reporting, aligned with EMEA Pricing.

What You Will Do

  • Define the META price architecture: Establish list prices, distributor net prices, OEM supply, OES, fleet or B2B pricing, with a margin framework for each channel, and price positioning by brand and technology tier.
  • Lead the annual price adjustment process for META, including price increases in Africa and the GCC, ensuring flawless execution with Heads of Sales and Sales Managers.
  • Run the weekly price and deal desk: review and approve price, rebate, discount, and credit exceptions, and log every decision with its reason.
  • Monitor competitor prices and prepare responses; use anti-dumping duties in the GCC in the pricing case for locally produced batteries.
  • Manage the pass-through of lead (LME) and core prices and currency effects, especially in Africa and Türkiye, applying FX and credit rules in pricing.
  • Analyze margin per unit and price-volume-mix by brand, technology, and country using price analytics and market intelligence; identify opportunities and present them to the Head of Commercial & BD.
  • Design distributor terms with Heads of Sales, including rebates, bonuses, and sell-out incentives, and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare pricing proposals for tenders and framework agreements with fleets, government vehicle pools, rental companies, and OEM/OES partners.
  • Align KSA and GCC price lists after Project MIDDLE: review prices against the market across all brands.
  • Contribute to the rollout of CPQ and price tools in META, define price data and reporting needs with Finance, IT, and the Sales Back Office; publish a monthly price realization report.
  • Collaborate with EMEA Pricing, Product Management, Finance, and Sales; train Sales Managers on price discipline and value-based selling.

What Makes You a Good Fit

  • University degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field; a Master's or MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in pricing, commercial excellence, sales operations, or commercial finance, including at least 3 years in a regional role in emerging markets.
  • Strong analytical skills: price analytics, price-volume-mix, margin analysis; capable of transforming data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience with CPQ and pricing tools and ERP pricing and discount conditions (SAP) is an advantage.
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket, batteries, or industrial products sold through distributors; knowledge of META markets is a plus.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to influence sales leaders, distributors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time; based in Riyadh.
  • Fluency in English and French (business proficiency); Arabic or Turkish are advantages.
