We are seeking a dynamic, resourceful, and proficient Senior Procurement Specialist to manage Core42’s supply portfolio. This role ensures transparency of spending and develops innovative, cost-efficient sourcing and category management strategies, specifically for our growing AI-related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts to support the AI infrastructure business.
- Conduct Procurement Planning activities and liaise with End Users to create an efficient demand plan.
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements to improve prices and terms of business with suppliers.
- Create partnership contracts with relevant suppliers and ensure competitive pricing.
- Recommend methodologies to improve contract management and enable visibility for management.
- Partner with trustworthy vendors to maintain professional supplier relationships.
- Review and analyze procurement spend reports and methodologies for efficient procurement.
- Initiate best practices for effective ERP and online procurement processes.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other departments on key contracts.
- Build and manage vendor management processes and engage vendors based on classification.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and risk estimation.
- Assist in the design of the ERP system at the Procurement level.
- Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers.
- Comply with all Group Procurement Policies.
Qualifications

Required skills / qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of how AI infrastructure is built and maintained.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth understanding of purchasing, negotiation, and cost breakdowns.
- Project management skills.
- Expertise in Procurement Demand Planning.

Preferred skills / qualifications
- Relevant business/commercial/law or manufacturing/engineering degree.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or in progress.
- Experience in a purchasing team, preferably within an AI or technology environment.
- Background in supply chain activities including procurement, contracts, and vendor management.
- Experience with large-scale or government organizations with mature systems and processes.
